BRIGHT PARK
Bright Park is located at 3705 Flynn Drive on the northern edge of the city. It features a 2/3 mile paved walking track that winds through a wooded area and along a pond. The pond hosts the annual youth and senior fishing rodeos.
There is a pavilion with tables for visitors to have great outdoor gathering, as well as a playground for the kids.
Bright Park is a certified Arboretum with 37 different species of trees. Thanks to a grant from the Mississippi Forestry Commission there are plaques throughout the park with the common name as well as the scientific name of each tree.
JENKINS PARK
Jenkins Park is located at 718 Old Whitfield Road. It features a ball field, basketball court, walking track, children’s playground equipment, covered picnic area, stage, beautiful landscaping, and much more.
